Tic Tacking for Beginners

One of the most important skills to learn in doing tricks with skateboards is tic tacking. When you’re rolling it’s the best way to keep up your pace and speed and in cases when you don’t have the luxury of moving around, it’s the only way to speed up. Tic tacking allows you to increase your balance and comfort when you’re gliding. The basic trick in doing a tic tac is to move the nose of the skateboard from left to right and carving it against the surface in order to achieve optimal speed. The shifting momentum that you create by putting pressure behind your hips and pushing the board forward allows it to glide you further. When you’re tic tacking make sure to maintain your balance because the additional speed might be difficult for beginners. If you’re wobbling, you can change where you lean in order to get your weight centered in the right place.
