Skateboard Wheels: Diameter and Hardness

What are the things that you should look for when you’re buying skateboards for sale? First off – the wheels. Skateboard wheels come in a variety of colors, sizes, and degrees of hardness and durability. There are two things that you should look for – diameter and durometer. Diameter refers to how tall the wheel is. This is measured in millimetres (mm). Durometer, on the other hand, refers to the hardness of the wheel. Most skateboard wheels use the “a-scale”. You don’t really need to understand the concept but the higher the a-scale is, the harder the wheel becomes. On average, wheels should have the hardness of a95. Softer wheels are graded a70 or lower. If you’re unsure, get wheel from 52mm to 54mm with a hardness of 99a. You can also check online for skateboard wheels so you’ll have an idea where to begin on your hunt to the perfect skateboard.
