Longboards are most commonly described as surfboards with wheels. The stunts involved with these boards are intricate and can rarely be accomplished with a regular-sized skateboard deck. Designed for descent, boarders often race their boards in downhill races, or create dancing routines where the board appears to hover inches above the ground.
The dimensions of a longboard can measure up to 5 feet long, meaning some stunts are more difficult to perform; but longboards make up for typical stunt performance by increasing speed, momentum, and fluidity. Pin-tails, Drop Decks, Cruisers, and Hybrids are only 4 of a longboard’s possible designs.
